Windward Parkway Triple Left-Turn Lane at Georgia 400 Interchange

Completion Date: December 2017

Total CID Investment: $620,000.00

Partner: Georgia Department of Transportation, State Road and Tollway Authority

The North Fulton Community Improvement District plans to reduce congestion at the high-traffic Georgia 400 interchange at Windward Parkway by adding a triple-left turn lane that will extend along Windward Parkway to Deerfield Parkway and Westside Parkway. The project is a part of an ongoing effort to improve transportation flow for drivers entering Windward Parkway from Georgia 400 northbound.

The triple-left-turn-lane project will cost an estimated $2.4 million over the course of three years. Funds from the North Fulton CID, Georgia Department of Transportation, and the State Road and Tollway Authority will be used to complete this project. The Windward Parkway triple-left project was envisioned in the CID’s Blueprint North Fulton master plan and is also included in the second iteration of the plan, Blueprint North Fulton 2.0.
