The CID helped fund what has now become the Transit Planning Board’s “Concept 3” transit plan for the Atlanta region.  The $200,000 transit study was commissioned to help expand transit region-wide, including throughout North Fulton.

The Concept 3 plan provides a solid foundation for region-wide transit, while providing a base for local circulator systems. These “feeder routes” will help meet our specific needs in North Fulton, and can be implemented by individual transit agencies and jurisdictions.

In the plan, three major transit corridors are proposed for North Fulton. The plan shows high- capacity rail extending from North Springs to Windward Parkway, and bus rapid transit systems being implemented on both SR 9 and SR 120.
