The North Fulton Community Improvement District has posted a Request for Qualifications to provide professional services for a Northern Suburbs Comprehensive Transit Feasibility Study. Qualifications are due Sept. 10, and the full RFQ also is posted on the Planned Projects section of the North Fulton CID web site.
The Study will focus on linking four major activity centers: (1) the Town Center Community Improvement District area; (2) the Cumberland Community Improvement District; (3) the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts; and (4) the North Fulton Community Improvement District. The objective of the study is to develop a consensus on an implementable approach to link these activity centers with transit while providing connections to the MARTA heavy rail system. This study will build upon previous efforts for transit connectivity and be developed in a manner that will provide key inputs into the subsequent NEPA process.
